MEET THE TEAM
SHANA MCCOY, ARTISTIC DIRECTOR
Shana McCoy graduated with her BA in Theatre from Southwest Baptist University in 2008. While she was in Kansas City, MO she worked as an actor and director in multiple locations, including Christian Youth Theatre, KC and Whitefield Academy, before relocating to Cincinnati and finally York PA where she continues to follow her passion. Some of her favorite productions have been The Little Mermaid, A Year with Frog and Toad, Steel Magnolias, and Little Women.
Shana is very excited to take her years of experience as a musician, actor, and director to lead The Musical Box Theatre!
LAUREN FREY, EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
Lauren Frey graduated from Messiah University in 2013. Graduating with a BA in Theatre with a concentration in technical production and design. She was also a member of the theatre honor society Alpha Psi Omega. Since then she has worked for a variety of theatres across south central PA. Most notably DreamWrights Center for Community Arts, The Belmont Theatre, Theatre Harrisburg, and Whitaker Center for Science and the Arts. Some of her favorite productions have been Big Fish, The Fantasticks, The Addams Family, and Rent.
Lauren joined as the Executive Director during The Musical Boxes production of White Christmas.
